History and Past Productions
BLOC Music Theatre was formed as "The Ballarat Light Opera Company" in 1959. Since then the company has staged 92 productions including 25 junior shows and 10 theatre restaurant productions.
In 2005 the name BLOC Music Theatre was officially adopted. The company has developed facilities for rehearsal and wardrobe in Peel St (North Ballarat), as well as set construction and storage in Spencer St (Sebastopol).
The company has received many accolades for its productions over the years, including awards from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria.
